About the role

General orthopedic surgery with 24-hour call coverage.

Requirements

• Expansion Board Certification required
• Active NC license and NC DEA (NC address required)
• Provider must be vaccinated
• Must be credentialed with Medicaid/Medicare and enrolled with PECOS as a provider
• Provider must be within 20 minutes of hospital at all times on call

Responsibilities

• 0–3 consults per day
• 0–2 visits to the ED for closed reductions and admissions
• 0–2 surgeries per day, including wrist, ankle, and hip fractures and I&D
• Long bone trauma stabilization and transfer

Benefits

• Hospital-owned individual apartment onsite (clean, with cable and Wi-Fi)
• Travel expenses capped at $500.00 (includes airfare, rental car, or mileage; not both)

Notes

Gratis hours capped at 4. Providers must offer at least 4 gratis hours to be considered.
