About the Role
Cowichan District Hospital is looking for Physicians interested in providing Surgical Assist Services. The orthopedic surgery group at Cowichan District Hospital is looking for physicians who enjoy working in the operating room in a surgical assist capacity to join our team.
Schedule
We are looking for full-time (Monday–Friday 07:30–15:30) or part-time candidates, with additional opportunities to also participate in the on-call Surgical Assistant roster to assist with emergency surgery on evenings and weekends.

Compensation Type: Fee-for-Service
Benefits and Incentives
May be eligible for additional remuneration in accordance with the Rural Subsidiary Agreement (RSA) including:
- Retention Premium 4.20%
- Retention Flat Fee $6,509
- Relocation Funding Available Up to $15,000 (amount based on location relocating from)
- Recruitment Incentive $10,000
