Organizational Trainer
About the role
The University of Texas at Austin is seeking an experienced Organizational Trainer to support the sustainment of the UT Works Program. The UT Works Program helps the university manage physical spaces, improve service delivery, gather data for capital projects, and streamline workflows.
Responsibilities
- Aid employees with technical issues and software proficiency standards through system training.
- Maintain ongoing support for employees' progress.
- Conduct coaching conversations to promote instructional improvement and provide ongoing training.
- Collaborate with training leads to design training materials.
- Create and maintain relationships with Subject Matter Experts for material development.
- Implement effective instructional strategies to develop curriculum for business operations, including frontline technicians.
- Schedule, deliver, and evaluate training sessions, ensuring accuracy and effectiveness.
- Participate in course development and maintenance using Cornerstone LMS.
- Deliver course materials in various settings, including formal classrooms and workshops.
- Co-teach and demo core instruction for software system usage and operational business processes.
- Create follow-up processes to evaluate training effectiveness.
- Be available for consultations with management, training team, and employees.
- Answer on-call questions from staff.
- Troubleshoot minor system issues to support new software usage and business process alignment.
- Participate in software testing as needed.
- Drive University vehicles.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree.
- 8+ years of proven experience designing, developing, and delivering classroom training.
- Experience as a teacher leader or other leadership roles.
- Demonstrated ability in adult learning models.
- Experience in facilities, construction, utilities, or frontline technician training.
- Proficiency in developing online training courses and using training simulation and video software.
- Familiarity with video production and editing software, creative design software, and Microsoft Office applications.

Pay
$80,000 annually.
Schedule
40 hours weekly, Monday - Friday with variable 8am - 5pm schedule. May be required to support early morning and early evening training events.
Environmental Demands
May work around standard office conditions. Physical Tasks: Use of a keyboard and personal computer, fine manual dexterity, may be required to lift up to 50lbs, often required to twist, grasp, push, pull and bend.
Driving
This job requires a class "C" operator's driver's license. The applicant selected must provide a current three year driving record from the current state of residence. If not currently a Texas resident, a Texas driver's license must be obtained within 30 days of becoming a Texas resident.
