How you’ll make an impact
- Assumes responsibility for all aspects of the surgical organ recovery, kidney perfusion and imported organ processes and ensures compliance with all internal and external regulatory standards.
- Works collaboratively with local transplant centers to facilitate the procurement and transplantation of organs accepted from outside of LifeNet Health’s donation service area.
- Responsible for completion of organ allocation from donors recovered within LifeNet Health’s donation service area.
- Ensures that donated organs are allocated in an efficient and timely manner in accordance with LNH and OPTN/UNOS Policies.
- Ensures that organs and tissue will be recovered to maximize utilization in accordance with LNH and OPTN/UNOS policies.
- Preserves organs and tissue according to LNH and national standards to ensure maximum viability for transplantation.
- Accurate and timely documentation of clinical and logistical information for all donor referrals/donors in compliance with all internal and external regulatory standards.
- Maintains stocking and preparation of supplies necessary for organ recovery.
What you’ll do
- Performs all modules and aspects of organ recovery to include import, scrubbing, kidney perfusion, circulator, and organ recovery.
- Works collaboratively with transplant surgeons and hospital personnel to ensure that every organ/tissue gift is successfully recovered.
- Ensures compliance with all internal and external regulatory standards.
Minimum Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Valid State Driver’s License
- Three (3) years – Scrub/Surgical Tech (including Tissue Processing, Tissue Recovery, Operating Room, or other sterile processing experience); Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), or Paramedic experience.
Preferred Experience/Skills/Certifications
- Associate or advanced (BA/BS) degree
- Certified Scrub Tech (CST) or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)
- Tech in Surgery-Certified (TS-C) or Certified Surgical First Assist (CSFA)
- Two (2) years related OPO experience.

Compensation
Salary Range: $24.64/hour - $32.85/hour*
Final compensation will be based on factors such as geographic location, qualifications, and prior relevant experience. The pay range for this position is $ 24.64 hourly (entry level qualifications to $ 32.85 hourly (experienced in this role).
Actual compensation may be higher based on the successful candidate’s knowledge and relevant experience.
