Ordnance Logistics HAZMAT Inspector/ Shipping Clerk III with Security Clearance

About the Role

Assist the Weapons Department in day-to-day Ordnance operations, coordinating with supported commands to prepare required documentation for the movement of munitions in support of NSWG-2 and its component commands.

Responsibilities

• Provide detailed technical advice and assistance pertaining to the movement of munitions via all modes of transportation.
• Use technical publications to facilitate shipment priorities and be familiar with DD Form 2790 and DD Form 626.
• Maintain forklift license up to 6,000lb capacity.
• Meet the requirements to obtain and check out government vehicles / CESE for use in official duties.

Requirements

• Minimum of three (3) years’ Ordnance HAZMAT shipping experience within the past 3 years.
• AMMO-62 Technical Transportation of HAZMAT certification for shipping (preferred) or willingness to complete the course upon the soonest available opening.
• Documentation of previous Ordnance Qualification/Certification Board Member.
• Meet Lautenberg Amendment (Gun Control Act of 1968) requirements.
• Possess a SECRET clearance.

Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge and experience related to the duties of a shipping clerk.
• Familiarity with technical publications and forms related to munitions transportation.
