HAZMAT Logistician with Security Clearance

Responsibilities

• Maintain inventory control, sustainment, replenishment, and issue of hazardous material (HAZMAT) line items.
• Ensure all hazardous materials are properly ordered, issued, receipted, and managed in strict compliance with applicable environmental laws, DoD instructions, and naval regulations.
• Provide customer service support for the HAZMAT program, including fulfilling customer requests, stowage and compatibility considerations, providing necessary documentation for procurement, and managing all disposal/disposition of HAZMAT activities.
• Research and gather all Safety Data Sheets (SDS) in support of the HAZMAT program.
• Maintain and inspect all HAZMAT spaces, ensuring they meet Navy standards for inspections.
• Deliver comprehensive logistics support during Group and Echelon-level Logistics Management Assessments and Inspections (LMA/LMI).
• Accurately enter and manage all received HAZMAT within the Enterprise Logistics Management System (ELMS) to facilitate seamless inventory control and issuance.
• Oversee and enforce the proper disposal of hazardous material and waste across commands, ensuring adherence to local, state, and federal environmental guidelines.
• Maintain a forklift license up to 10,000 lb capacity.
• Complete and maintain HAZMAT required training through the Environmental Compliance Assessment, Training and Tracking System (ECATTS).

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of warehousing and inventory management experience within the Department of Defense (DoD).
• Minimum one year of experience with the following systems: Enterprise Logistics Management System (ELMS), NAVSUP HMM Tool, NAVSUP OneTouch, Hazardous Materials Information Resource System (HMIRS), and Department of Defense SHELF-LIFE Program.
• Minimum one year of experience in ELMS or an equivalent database.
• Must meet the requirements to obtain and check out government vehicles/CESE for use in official duties.
