About the role
The Order Processor is responsible for the labeling, packaging, and staging of Polymet customer orders.
Responsibilities
- Pack and process all orders per customer specification reference sheet (SRS)
- Pick/transfer finished goods materials in 4th shift
- Stage shipments for daily pick ups
- Communicate with customer service and shipping to obtain specific customer needs
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Follow written work instructions outlined on work orders and QMS documents
- Create I.D. tags, labels, and bar codes for inventory
- Properly document processing information according to QMS guidelines
- Allocate direct and indirect times
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Follow all requirements of the Polymet employee handbook and safety policy
- Work on department schedule and work overtime as needed to meet scheduled dates
- Understand and follow required Polymet Quality Management System (QMS) documents
- Auxiliary in other departments as needed
Qualifications and Requirements
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Basic computer skills
- 1-2 years experience in manufacturing
- 1-2 years experience in packaging, material testing, or shipping
