About the role

We are seeking an experienced Oracle HCM Cloud professional with deep expertise in Payroll as a primary skill, along with working knowledge of Time & Labor and Absence Management. This role will serve as the end-to-end owner of Payroll functionality, combining hands-on configuration, operational support, and platform ownership. The ideal candidate will partner closely with business stakeholders to drive system improvements, troubleshoot issues, and ensure seamless payroll operations while supporting quarterly releases and continuous enhancements.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end Oracle HCM Payroll functionality, including configuration, maintenance, and optimization
  • Troubleshoot and resolve Payroll, Time, and Absence issues, ensuring minimal disruption to operations
  • Partner with business teams (HR, Payroll, Operations) to gather requirements and deliver enhancements
  • Lead and support testing efforts during quarterly releases, including UAT validation and production readiness
  • Drive continuous improvements in Payroll processes, automation, and system efficiency

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience with Oracle HCM Cloud Payroll
  • Strong expertise in Payroll configuration (elements, fast formulas, balances, payroll flows)
  • Experience troubleshooting complex Payroll-related issues and performing root cause analysis
  • Working knowledge of Time & Labor and Absence modules
  • Experience supporting UAT and Oracle quarterly release testing
  • Ability to partner with business stakeholders and translate requirements into system solutions

Qualifications

  • Experience owning Payroll as a product or platform with strong operational and systems ownership capabilities
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end HCM integrations and upstream/downstream impacts
  • Experience in high-volume or complex payroll environments
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Pay

The base salary range for this role is:

  • Chicago, IL: USD $138,000 per year - USD $153,000 per year
  • New York City, NY: USD $153,000 per year - USD $170,000 per year
  • San Francisco, CA: USD $153,000 per year - USD $170,000 per year
  • Seattle, WA: USD $153,000 per year - USD $170,000 per year
  • Washington, DC: USD $153,000 per year - USD $170,000 per year

Schedule

Offices remain key to collaboration and Uber's culture. Unless approved for full remote work, employees must spend at least 50% of their time in-office. Some roles require full-time in-office presence.
