About the role
We are seeking a Senior Oracle Cloud Financials Solution Architect to join our growing Oracle ERP practice. This full-time position can be based anywhere in the United States, with travel required to support clients onsite as needed. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader who can anticipate needs, drive deliverables, and contribute to practice growth. This role involves architecting solutions, maximizing sales opportunities, and leading Oracle ERP Cloud implementations for potential customers.
Responsibilities
- Support client engagements by providing subject matter expertise in Oracle Cloud Financials implementations.
- Assume accountability for solution design and successful implementation of Oracle Cloud ERP projects, including hands-on development, design, and prototyping.
- Ensure proposed solutions meet client requirements, are architecturally complete, and quantify all architectural risks.
- Align solutions with portfolio offerings to drive profitable revenue growth.
- Evaluate solution requirements with client stakeholders and manage requirement traceability during engagements.
- Design customer-specific solutions based on industry best practices and review current processes.
- Act as a technical interface to clients and proactively develop business opportunities.
- Lead implementation teams in testing cycles, including developing testing scenarios, cases, and scripts.
- Advise clients on IBM offerings, strategy, implementation approaches, and tradeoffs.
- Collaborate with Project Managers to input project plans, work breakdown structures, and manage timelines.
- Identify opportunities for new or follow-on business and assist in creating change orders.
- Provide thought leadership for practice growth and participate in strategic planning and business case development.
- Deliver strategy presentations to clients, covering features, implementation approaches, technical requirements, impacts, and benefits.
- Manage solution proposals, designs, reviews, risk analysis, and client presentations.
- Oversee technical estimates using standard tools, portfolio Work Breakdown Structures, and industry estimating techniques.
- Develop architectural demos, effort estimates, and proposals during presales cycles.
- Maintain knowledge of technologies, industry trends, standards, and design techniques.
Requirements
- 10+ years of ERP implementation experience.
- Senior Solution Architect role on a minimum of 2 full lifecycle Oracle Cloud implementation projects in the USA.
- Public Sector domain (city/state/local/county government) experience is an asset.
- Knowledge and experience in GASB Accounting and Reporting, Encumbrance Accounting, Fund Accounting, Projects and Grants Accounting, and Management.
- Hands-on experience designing and building modular, scalable, testable enterprise systems in Oracle Cloud Financials.
- Exposure to other Oracle Cloud modules such as Supply Chain and HCM Applications is ideal.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with diverse teams.
- Capability to work independently, take initiative, and collaborate as a team member.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to engage technical peers and executive management.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to adapt quickly to new projects and work on multiple projects concurrently.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Deep understanding of Oracle Cloud Applications, including configuration, customization, and integration with other Oracle products.
- Experience designing multi-platform technical solutions with seamless integration into existing systems.
- Familiarity with quality, performance, availability, and security standards for Oracle Applications.
