About the role
The surgical technician, under the guidance of the registered nurse, is responsible for the care and safety of patients. This includes ensuring effective communication between the technician, the OR Specialty and Nurse Manager, the patient, other staff, physicians, and other hospital departments.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Tech program
- One year of related formal education/training beyond high school
- Six months to one year of job-related experience
- Certification required within one year of employment
- BLS Certification
