About the role
Are you interested in a career as an OR Surgical Technician? Do you want to be paid while you're trained to become certified?
Responsibilities
- Assists with all types of surgical procedures
- Performs related services in order to give optimum nursing care under the direction of a professional nurse
- Functions in the scrub area and works with the surgical team to provide a safe intraoperative environment for the patient undergoing an operative procedure
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Graduate of an accredited school of Surgical Technology or successful completion of the RRMC OR Surgical Tech in Training Program within 6-9 months
- 1 year of surgical technologist experience in hospital operating room setting preferred
- National certification, CST or CFA preferred
- BLS Certification through American Heart Association
Qualifications
- Minimum Education: High school graduate or equivalent; and Graduate of an accredited school of Surgical Technology*
- *Or successful completion of the RRMC OR Surgical Tech in Training Program within 6-9 months
Skills
- Demonstrated moderate knowledge of basic computer skills

Pay
Pay Range = $26.57 - $38.71
Schedule
Program length is 6-9 months including an 18-week classroom phase followed by a clinical apprenticeship requiring 180 clinical hours and 125 documented surgical cases.
