OR SERVICE LINE SPECIALIST
About the role
Following Magnet designation and AORN standards, Moffitt Cancer Center’s Operating Room employs skilled interdisciplinary teams to perform complex cancer procedures on both inpatient and outpatient adult populations. The Moffitt McKinley Hospital (MMH) location features 19 operating rooms, including 5 equipped with robotic platforms. The OR is a predominantly RN-staffed environment that embraces Patient and Family Centered Care, Shared Governance, and a Total Care Delivery system. As an Operating Room (OR) Service Line Specialist, you will serve as the advanced clinical subject-matter expert and liaison between surgeons, perioperative staff, vendors, and leadership for a designated surgical specialty.
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary clinical resource for surgeons in a designated specialty (e.g., Orthopedics, Spine, GYN, Robotics).
- Communicate equipment needs, product updates, and special requirements to perioperative teams and leadership.
- Collaborate with Materials Management and vendors to order and maintain par levels of service-specific instruments and supplies.
- Ensure surgeon preference cards are accurate and up-to-date.
- Oversee specialty inventory and manage scheduling.
- Mentor staff on clinical protocols and best practices.
Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Nursing (preferred) or BSN from an ACEN or CCNE accredited institution with at least 2 years of relevant experience, or ASN from an ACEN or CCNE accredited institution with 2 years of relevant experience.
- Active Florida RN License or valid Multi-State privilege to practice in Florida (must declare FL as primary State of residence within 60 days from date of hire if licensed in another eNLC compact state).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- 2 or more years of recent nursing experience within the Operating Room.
- CNOR certification (preferred).

Pay
Salary range: $46.13 - $70.37 per hour. Actual compensation may vary based on location, experience, skills, education, and internal equity.
