OR/PACU RN Per Diem

Opportunity Overview

We have an immediate opening for an OR/PACU RN Per Diem to join our team at Shady Grove Fertility in Fairfax, Virginia.

How You’ll Contribute

• Utilize advanced assessment skills to identify patient care problems, formulate patient care plans
• Performs initial preoperative assessment, develops a plan of care, and explains the subsequent phases of surgery
• Provides comfort measures and psychological support to the patient and family members
• Demonstrates proficiency in caring for patients who have received various types of anesthesia or conscious sedation
• Administers medications by direct intravenous and other routes as directed
• Provides patient education

Qualifications and Skills

• Active RN license
• Current BLS and ACLS certification
• 2-3 years clinical experience in Operating/Procedure Room or PACU experience strongly preferred
• Strong technical and clinical assessment skills
• Able to access, input, and retrieve information from a computer
• Able to work independently and demonstrate good judgment
• Able to communicate accurately and concisely
