About the role
The Optometrist provides vision evaluations and assesses visual acuity and overall eye health. Diagnoses and treats various eye conditions, diseases, and injuries. Prescribes corrective lenses or medications as needed and provides pre- and post-operative care for patients. Promotes healthy vision by counseling and educating patients.

- Provide pre- and post-operative care for patients.
- Counsel and educate patients on maintaining healthy vision.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
Requirements
- Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited optometry school.
- Valid IA state license to practice optometry.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively explain diagnoses and treatment plans to diverse patient populations, ranging from pediatrics to seniors.
