About the role

DePaul Community Health Centers seeks an Optometrist to provide clinical care for Community Health Centers. The position operates in a professional office environment with occasional travel and flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Affirms the hope and joy of the Daughters of Charity mission
• Works in tandem with other departments to ensure a collaborative, team-oriented environment
• Develops treatment plans in collaboration with patients, as well as educates and advises patients on medical issues
• Diagnoses and treats refractive disorders
• Diagnoses and treats ocular disorders caused by age-related illnesses
• Examines, diagnoses, treats, and manages diseases, injuries and disorders of the visual system, the eye, and associated structures
• Identifies related systemic conditions affecting the eye
• Enters patient information and completes required clinical documentation in the electronic medical record

Requirements

• Must have Louisiana OD License
• Must have at least 1 year of experience
• Must have experience working with a diverse population
• Must have excellent communication skills, including verbal and written
• Must be computer literate

Qualifications

• Three years of Optometry experience in a community healthcare clinic setting
• Bi-lingual and Experience with Compulink software is a plus
