Eyes of the Marina is a boutique optometry practice located in the heart of Marina del Rey. Our office combines advanced medical eye care with a curated optical experience, offering premium eyewear collections and personalized service in a modern and welcoming environment.

We are seeking an experienced Optician to join our team. The ideal candidate is knowledgeable, detail-oriented, and confident in guiding patients through frame and lens selections while ensuring accuracy in prescription eyewear orders. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working closely with patients and contributing to a high-end boutique optical environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in selecting frames and lenses that suit their prescription, lifestyle, and aesthetic preferences
• Educate patients on lens technology including progressives, coatings, specialty lenses, and premium options
• Take precise optical measurements (PD, OC height, segment height, etc.)
• Process eyewear orders and verify prescription accuracy
• Dispense, adjust, and repair frames
• Cook up with optical labs and vendors
• Maintain an organized and visually appealing optical display
• Provide an exceptional patient experience from frame selection to final dispensing

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an Optician or Optical Sales Associate
• Strong knowledge of lens designs, materials, and frame fitting
• Experience with lens edging or finishing is a plus but not required
• Excellent communication and patient service skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with EMR or optical management software
• ABO certification is a plus
