About the role

The OPS Adult Education Recruitment Specialist will recruit new students for the Adult Education (AE) Department in the tri-county area (Leon, Gadsden, and Wakulla Counties). The AE Department provides instructional programs including Adult Basic Education (ABE), GED® Preparation, and English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL).

Responsibilities

  • Establish relationships with internal and external stakeholders to enable student referrals and recruitment.
  • Assist with the distribution of marketing materials (print, social media, website, etc.).
  • Follow up with potential students via phone or email.
  • Develop and conduct presentations at community events.
  • Assist students with applying and registering to the College.
  • Track recruitment efforts to determine best practices.

Requirements

  • Minimum high school diploma; Associate’s Degree preferred.
  • Reliable transportation in the tri-county area (Leon, Gadsden, and Wakulla Counties).
  • Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.

Pay

$20.00 per hour.

Schedule

20 hours per week; hours may include weekends and evenings.
