About the role

Best Point Education & Behavioral Health is seeking an Employment Specialist to join our WorkPlace Associates (WPA) team. Through our Individual Placement & Support (IPS) model, we help adults with mental health, physical, and cognitive disabilities achieve meaningful employment and greater independence.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct intake assessments to identify participants' interests, skills, strengths, work history, educational background, and employment goals
  • Develop and implement individualized Vocational Service Plans
  • Provide job development, placement, coaching, and retention services
  • Conduct community-based vocational and work assessments
  • Support participants throughout the employment process, helping them overcome barriers and achieve success
  • Facilitate job-seeking, career readiness, and social skills groups
  • Cook up relationships with local employers and community partners
  • Serve as a liaison between consumers, employers, funding sources, and program leadership
  • Lead live and virtual vocational training sessions using Microsoft Teams and established curriculum
  • Maintain accurate case records and complete required documentation within established timelines
  • Participate in biweekly therapy meetings and weekly ACT team meetings
  • Aid individuals in community settings as needed
  • Contribute to IPS Fidelity standards and ensure compliance with OHMAS requirements
  • Build and maintain a positive, collaborative team environment
  • Adhere to all agency policies, procedures, and confidentiality requirements
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED, bachelors preferred
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Reliable transportation for community-based services
  • Strong organizational, time management, and follow-up skills
  • Ability to build relationships with individuals, employers, and community partners
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
