About the role

This is a full-time, in-office position. This position requires you to work on site at one of our facilities located throughout Broward County. This is an OPS (Other Personal Services) positions and as such no paid time off is offered. Health benefits will be offered for full-time employment. OPS employees are eligible to participate in a deferred compensation plan.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain positive, service-oriented relationships with the licensed prescribers and office staff through repeated office visits and contacts.
  • Develop creative outreach strategies to gain access to healthcare offices, schedule appointments, meet with clinicians, and follow up on requests for additional information and support.
  • Attend community events with the academic detailing team.
  • Act as a liaison between the physician community and program staff.
  • Track and monitor all captured visit data for academic detailing activities and prepare and submit a strategy monthly report to the program manager or as requested.

Requirements

  • Possess a valid driver's license, free of major infractions and access to an automobile to be utilized for work purposes and willing to drive to multiple sites as required by program needs.
  • One year of professional or academic experience with medications management and therapeutic decision making, clinical research, epidemiology, public health, health education, pharmaceutical or medical sales.

Qualifications

  • Thorough knowledge of public health principles, practices, and/or techniques.
  • Previous experience in medications management and therapeutic decision making, research, epidemiology, public health, health education, pharmaceutical or medical sales.
  • Ability to assess clinicians’ needs, communicate medical information, and develop and deliver engaging evidence-based presentations.
  • Self-motivated and ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong written and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of method of compelling, organizing and analyzing data.
  • Possess excellent communication skills (writing, spelling, listening, and speaking), and interoperation skills.
  • The ability to visit physicians during various times throughout the day.
  • Knowledge in coordinating, planning, and facilitating events.
  • Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to organize data into logical format for presentation in reports, documents, and other written materials.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
  • Possess intermediate level, practiced knowledge of software applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
