About the role
As the opleidingsmanager for Podiumberoepen (PB) and Podium- en Evenemententechniek (PET), you will lead education programs that prepare students for careers in the performing arts, events industry, and technical fields. The PB (OnStage) program trains students as actors, musicians, and musical actors, while PET (BackStage) focuses on stage and event technology. These programs are deeply connected to the cultural sector, theaters, event organizations, and other industry partners.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of approximately 17 FTE, including teachers, instructors, and support staff, fostering ownership and collaboration.
- Translate strategic objectives into actionable team plans and guide the team in executing them.
- Maintain and enhance the quality of education through curriculum development and innovation.
- Oversee the results, quality, and operational management of the programs.
- Monitor developments in vocational education (mbo), the creative sector, and the events industry, and translate these into educational opportunities.
- Strengthen and maintain relationships with theaters, venues, cultural institutions, production companies, and other industry partners.
- Act as an ambassador for the programs, contributing to their strong positioning.
- Participate in the management team of College Design, Media, and ICT (DMI) to work on future-proof education.
- Contribute to institution-wide developments and projects at Deltion.

Requirements
- Completed a relevant higher professional education (hbo) or university (wo) degree.
- Experience in leading teams of professionals.
- Knowledge of and affinity with vocational education (mbo).
- Understanding of the dynamics of the creative, cultural, or technical sector and the ability to translate industry developments into education.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to connect and collaborate easily with colleagues, students, and external partners.
- Enthusiasm for talent development, educational innovation, and multidisciplinary teamwork.

Benefits
- Initial one-year contract with the prospect of extension.
- Gross monthly salary between €4,817 and €7,600 (scale 12–13) based on a 40-hour workweek.
- 8% holiday allowance and an 8.33% end-of-year bonus.
