Ophthalmologist, Uveitis specialist

About the role

Join the established Department of Ophthalmology at Baylor Scott & White Healthcare, Central Texas. Team includes: 13 Ophthalmologists / 6 Optometrists. Busy schedules Monday-Friday; dedicated time for clinic, procedures, and laser. Possible bi-weekly time at satellite clinic (22 mile distance). Option to perform cataract surgery available but not mandatory. Call: 4 weeks per year. Employed position with a comprehensive benefit package. Epic EMR system with Kaleidoscope for Eyes; Zeiss Forum for image management. Participate in education with a well-established Ophthalmology Residency Program as well as medical students through Baylor College of Medicine.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive eye care services, including diagnosis and treatment of uveitis conditions.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
• Contribute to the ongoing education of medical students and residents.
• Participate in research activities as part of the Baylor Scott & White Research Institute.

Requirements

• Doctorate Degree in Medicine.
• Uveitis Fellowship training.
• Licensed to Practice Medicine in the state of Texas by the Texas Medical Board.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible with the American Board of Ophthalmology.

Qualifications

• Experience in uveitis management preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Proficiency in medical software and technology.
