Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Effectively drive sales performance for Izervay in their territory to meet or exceed quotas.
- Contribute to delivering a high launch sales trajectory for Izervay and consistently meet sales growth expectations over time.
- Develop, collaborate on, and implement territory plans that properly identify and prioritize activities to drive short- and long-term sales goals.
- Communicate regularly with their Regional Business Director to deliver business results.
- Work with cross-functional field teams to foster and grow relationships with key GA treatment decision makers, including physicians, support staff, and administrators to address needs and deliver solutions.
- Lead and execute educational events with Astellas partners.
- Learn and demonstrate a strong clinical understanding of ophthalmology and retina to ensure a meaningful partnership with Astellas' customers.
- Foster a high-performing team environment by sharing knowledge, experience, and gathered insights, acting as a peer influencer to help others achieve success.
- Meet all administrative business expectations and standards, including budgets, reporting, and communication.
- Adhere to compliance and operating principles and expectations of Astellas.
Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 5+ years of specialty pharma/biotech commercial experience
- Ophthalmology experience, retina preferred
- Buy and Bill experience preferred
- Demonstrated strong sales performance track record
- Demonstrated understanding of business drivers and regulations within healthcare
- Effective use of active listening, probing, and other selling skills to enhance communication and build influence with key customers
- Strong cross-functional leadership and communication capabilities
- Takes initiative and works with limited direction
- Demonstrates high level of professionalism and collaborates with others
- Exercises high level of confidentiality and professional judgement

- Field-based role within a designated geography reporting to a specified Ophthalmics Region Business Lead within the sales team
- Overnight travel (25%-50%) may be required based on business needs of a given territory and is geographically dependent
- Occasional travel to the home office in Parsippany, NJ

Working Environment
This is a field-based position.
Pay
$120,897-181,800 (Final compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to skills, experience, and organizational equity considerations).
