Operator - Weekend Shift

Schedule

• Weekend Shift: 7:00am–7:00pm Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
• Overtime available during the week

About the role

The position reports to the Manufacturing Supervisor. A successful Operator will have a strong dedication to safety and quality. Attention to detail is critical to ensuring the highest care is taken with plant equipment and processes. The ability to understand and follow work instruction while maintaining the 6S and key metrics in the department will help drive the success of the manufacturing process.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate light manufacturing equipment and follow work instructions during Milwaukee Tool Accessories production
• Assist in maintaining equipment and plant to Milwaukee 6S standards
• Accurately record production data
• Constantly work to ensure equipment is exceeding performance metrics
• Ensure timely job changeovers
• Coordinate with Department Leads to fulfil Work Orders

Qualifications

• High School degree/GED
• 1–2 years of experience as an operator in a manufacturing environment
• Previous stamping, deburring, spot welding, experience with automation, or chemical safety experience is a plus

• Mathematical and analytical skills
• Proven mechanical ability or aptitude
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Familiarity with correct PPE wear and safety policies

Physical Demands & Work Environment

• May be required to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull up to 35 pounds
• Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
• Occasional bending, crouching, twisting, reaching
• May be required to wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in certain work cells
