About the role
The Molding Line Operator manages, and coordinates activities concerned with the production of the company products. The Molding Line Operator shapes and deposits products accordingly to published schedules. This position ensures the quality of the products by enforcing SQF (food safety), GMP (general manufacturing practices) and Quality policy, safety and sanitation regulations.
Key responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and monitor semi-automated production equipment
- Adjust machines to meet product specifications (e.g., speed, temperature, consistency)
- Perform basic quality checks, including product weight, appearance, and viscosity
- Record production data accurately (raw materials, outputs, and reports)
- Fill containers (drums/pails) with finished product
- Conduct basic and preventive maintenance; report any issues to the supervisor
- Follow daily production schedules and instructions
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the production line and work area
- Work collaboratively with the team to ensure product quality and efficiency
- Comply with all safety, GMP, HACCP, and food safety regulations
- Perform additional tasks as assigned
About you
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Basic computer skills are a plus
- Experience working in a manufacturing site, especially in the food and beverage industry
- 1 to 3 years of experience working as a line operator (semi-automated machines)
- Able to communicate effectively with supervisors and team members (both verbally and through basic written reports)
- Able to follow instructions and directions from supervisors accurately
- Results-driven mindset with the ability to perform well under pressure
- Able to learn and demonstrate knowledge of equipment and its operation within 30 days of on-the-job training
- Willingness to obtain forklift certification shortly after starting the role
- Able to lift objects up to 50 lbs
- Strong multitasking skills and the ability to work independently
- Able to develop an understanding of manufacturing processes and production capabilities
- Able to move freely throughout the entire facility
- Comfortable working in environments with exposure to noise, heat, cold, and dust
