Operator (Expansion) I TFE - 3rd Shift
About the role
Spooling input onto heat shrink spools, some coiling of input, clamping, taping, cutting, inspecting, bagging, tagging, straightening tubing, labeling and preparing orders for shipping. Packing heat shrink dies in oven and setting up heat shrink equipment to produce proper specifications on tubing for each order. Keeping accurate records and maintaining paperwork. Keeping a clean, safe workplace and observing all safety rules and regulations. Occasional utility work. Preparation of dual shrink tubing.

- Setting up heat shrink equipment to produce proper specifications on tubing for each order
- Keeping accurate records and maintaining paperwork
- Maintaining a clean, safe workplace and observing all safety rules and regulations
- Occasional utility work
- Preparation of dual shrink tubing
Qualifications
- Ability to perform inspection functions such as visual inspection to detect cosmetic defects and color differentiation of products
- Familiarity with solvents: Naphtha, acetone, alcohol in the area; safety equipment and rules must be used
- Ability to stand within a 30-foot by 36-inch area; very little time to sit down
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds periodically to a height of 36 inches
- Constant walking with some stationary standing
- Legible writing using pens to fill in worksheet data
- Use of safety equipment: heat gloves, safety glasses, and protective gear when needed
- Use of brooms, mops, rags, and all-purpose cleaners to keep the entire area clean as required
- Thorough knowledge of standard and good sense practices
- Ability to carry out oral and written instructions and adapt to different situations
- Any combination of experience that enables sound judgments and decisions
- Basic mathematics knowledge is helpful
- Attendance and punctuality are essential; any unscheduled absence or tardiness will negatively impact production objectives
