Die Cutter Operator role focused on safe setup and operation of die cutting equipment, ensuring adherence to safety policies, production standards, and quality requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate designated die cutting machine.
  • Use proper personal protective equipment required for job duties.
  • Work as a team to achieve departmental goals in safety, quality, and efficient operation.
  • Assist in training new team members on equipment and processes.
  • Read and understand order schedules and work orders, including specifications.
  • Maintain accurate production reporting.
  • Perform pre-start inspections of machines and materials to ensure safe operation.
  • Perform quality checks and make machine adjustments during startup.
  • Plan and prepare materials needed for production.
  • Perform periodic visual quality checks and adjust the die to ensure zero defects.
  • Perform sampling and quality checking throughout production runs.
  • Maintain daily and periodic cleaning of machines and department to uphold 5S and GMP/SQF standards.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on tools to prevent premature wear.
  • Observe and recommend improvements regarding safety, quality, waste, and production efficiency.

Requirements

  • Willingness to learn and grow in a manufacturing setting.
  • Positive attitude throughout training and learning processes.
  • English-speaking or bilingual (Spanish is a plus but not required).
  • Strong teamwork skills and ability to collaborate effectively.
  • Reliable, motivated, and committed to following safety and quality standards.
  • High school degree, GED, or equivalent.
  • Color matching and numerical accuracy.
  • Organizational skills and ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Ability to stand for long periods (8+ hours).
  • Mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Understanding of industry color measurement instruments.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret technical information and procedures.
  • Work independently and as part of a team with strong communication and mechanical skills.
  • Exceptional time management and organization skills to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proactive with sound judgment and decision-making abilities.
