Operator, Die Cutter

Job Description

Set-up and run die cutting equipment. Maintain standard of quality. Report any problems and/or discrepancies to the die cutting assistant/department manager. Keep the work area clean and orderly. Work overtime when needed. Report accurate time and quantities using the “ELF” systems. Be responsible for maintaining glue inventory.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent/Technical or equivalent experience 1 year die cutting experience on any material.
• Large Format Die cutting experience (preferred).
• Knowledge and Skills:
  • Ability to measure in fractions of inches up to and including 32nds.
  • Ability to communicate/understand written as well as oral instructions.
  • Ability to apply written instructions to machine set-up.
  • Basic Math skills including skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Reliability through attendance, punctuality, and attention to workstation.
  • Supports a safe work environment.
  • Knowledge of production materials.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift, push and pull up to 50 lbs.
• Frequent reaching, bending, climbing, kneeling, crouching, and stooping.
• Manual dexterity for repetitive work.
• Frequent walking and standing.

Pay

$25-35/hr
