Die Cutter Operator

About the role
The team member will be overall responsible for ensuring the assembly machines are kept running at all times by closely monitoring all feeding tubes and parts hoppers, filling parts hoppers, and preventing feeders from running out of parts. The team member will clear alarm codes displayed by the machine, maintain cleanliness in the area, assemble boxes, correctly stack them on wooden pallets, and stage full pallets outside the assembly room. Additional tasks may be assigned by the supervisor as required.
Responsibilities
- Monitor all automated assembly equipment.
- Read and interpret error codes displayed during machine stoppages and clear any machine faults.
- Keep all material bins full of work-in-process components.
- Make, remove, tape, and label all boxes in the assembly process.
- Stack all boxes on pallets in accordance with the finished goods stacking procedure.
- Remove and stage all full pallets outside the assembly room area.
- Maintain the assembly room area in clean condition by sweeping, wiping down machines, and cleaning windows.
- Operate pallet jacks, both manual and electric.
- Wear a uniform and safety shoes provided by the company.
- Perform repetitive functions and lift at least 30 pounds on a frequent basis.
- Learn and follow relevant local and company safety requirements, rules, and procedures.
- Report incidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions or processes promptly.
- Be flexible to schedule changes and work shift times.
Requirements
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Mechanically inclined.
- Previous manufacturing experience.
- Experience working with control display panels is a plus.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to work unsupervised or in a team environment.
- Must be able to work on a computer.
Pay
$20-$22 per hour.
Schedule
1st shift: Monday-Friday, 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM (currently on 10-hour shift: 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM).
