Operator - Bagger/Scales - Shift 2

The purpose of this role is to accomplish the packaging of frozen food products made on the assigned production lines at the Brunswick facility by performing certain tasks involved in operating the baggers and meeting quality specifications and production needs.

Responsibilities

Contributes to the profitability of the company by performing tasks in a safe, efficient, quality-conscious, and cost-conscious manner and by working in a cooperative manner with his/her Team Leader and team members.

• Learn how to operate the baggers and to package product to meet quality specifications and production needs
• Prepare casting materials and set up workstations
• Ensure equipment is running to efficiency standards while producing a high quality ice cream product in a safe, sanitary, cost-effective, and efficient manner that meets company food safety and quality standards
• Perform tasks as needed to ensure smooth functioning process flow
• Preparing baggers to run the correct rollstock needed for the product
• Confirm department follows safety practices as well as identify and correct potential hazards
• Ensuring the scales are prepared and calibrated correctly
• Assist Lead as needed
• Complies with GMP and safety and food safety standards at all times
• Other duties as assigned by management

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• Basic computer skills including Excel and Word
• Self-motivated and ability to take initiative and use sound judgment in day-to-day decision making
• Punctual and reliable in work attendance
• Ability to organize and communicate to all levels of personnel
• Flexible and able to manage others
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Excellent English communication skills required, bilingual speaker a plus
