Scale Operator - 2nd Shift

Pay: $20.40/hour + $1,500 Sign & Stay Bonus

Schedule: 4:30 PM - 1:35 AM

Responsibilities

• Accurately weigh product and place correct label on box
• Lift and place 40–70 pound boxes of product onto track
• Ensure proper ice coverage on all product around employee’s scale
• Dump product from lugs into a combo when required
• Work cooperatively with supervisors and coworkers
• Complete all tasks assigned by members of management
• Follow directions and work in other departments as needed
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements

• Ability to work unsupervised and self-motivate
• Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and extended shift hours
• Sound work ethic, honesty, and moral character
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures and adhere to safety requirements
• Wear required PPE (hairnet, beard net, shoe covers, gloves, smock, earplugs; PPE subject to change)
• Ability to work in a wet and cold environment (45°F / 4°C)
• Ability to stand for an 8-hour shift
• Tolerate noise (>85 decibels), CO₂, and moving production equipment
• Lift and push up to 70 lbs

Preferred Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Hatchery or related poultry industry experience
• Basic math skills
