Scale Operator- 2nd Shift

Position Summary

We are seeking a Machine Operator to join our team. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, this role involves operating assigned production and/or packaging lines safely and efficiently. Key responsibilities include ensuring tasks are completed to company standards, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining a clean and safe work area.

Position Responsibilities

• Operate assigned line safely and efficiently according to standard operating procedures
• If working a packaging line, ensure products are dated and packaged with minimal waste and supplies
• Inspect the line before start-ups and changeovers
• Troubleshoot problems as they arise, make recommendations on how to solve
• Perform forklift operator duties and responsibilities as needed
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• Follow all company safety, hygiene, and work rules
• Maintain the company's commitment to providing quality products and services, emphasizing Food Safety, legality, and integrity
• Maintain satisfactory attendance
• Perform other duties as assigned

Position Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent
• Effective communication skills in verbal and written English
• The ability to work flexible schedules, overtime, and weekends during harvest season
• Self-motivation and attention to detail
• Previous knowledge of GMPs, food safety, and forklift driving experience (preferred)
• Ability to become forklift certified after hire
• Knowledge of safe driving rules and regulations
• Ability to work in various environments including outdoor and indoor settings, hot/cold, noisy, and dusty conditions
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and work from heights
• Understanding and adherence to Food Safety & Sanitation rules
• Understanding and consideration of potential allergens (Edible Nuts)
