About the role

Ensure smooth operation of extrusion lines by maintaining accurate administrative forms, equipment cleanliness, and proper production parameters. Monitor product quality, assist team members, and uphold safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all required administrative forms associated with the extrusion process accurately and timely.
• Keep vacuum, stuffer, and atmospheric vents clean and free of material.
• Maintain extruder cooling tanks with adequate levels of distilled water and proper additives.
• Ensure assigned lines run at proper rates, temperatures, and percentages as established by engineering or management.
• Verify boards are the correct color and length according to the daily schedule.
• Notify Process Leader or Supervisor of issues affecting line performance or product quality.
• Monitor line output hourly to verify product quality.
• Maintain safe working habits around equipment and when moving product or materials.
• Demonstrate teamwork by assisting co-workers as needed or directed by Process Leader or Supervisor.
• Work overtime, holidays, and weekends as scheduled.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• User knowledge of the Panel Mate computer control system.
• Basic math, reading, and writing skills.
• Ability to recognize and solve recurring problems.
• Previous machinery operator experience in a continuous production environment.
• Ability to read, interpret, and complete production schedules and reporting forms.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts.

Pay

Hiring pay range: $41,620 USD - $48,048 USD. Actual salaries may vary based on factors including education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location.
