Operator, Alarm Communications - Temporary

About the role

ASRC Federal Gulf States Constructors, a subsidiary of ASRC Federal, is seeking a Temporary Operator, Alarm Communications to support our government customer programs in Enid, Oklahoma.

Responsibilities

• Operate the Fire Department Communications Center
• Maintain station log and record all incoming voice communications
• Maintain the center in a clean and orderly manner
• Speak clearly under stress and write legibly
• Keep TO's, Regulations, Charts, Maps, and other items essential to the center's operation in current status and in assigned location
• Operate Base after hours communication system as required
• Accept after hours trouble calls, input into computer and/or contact EMCS personnel for troubleshoot or scheduling craftsman
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills, to include clear articulation and concise communication
• Must be proficient in computer skills
• Must be able to obtain any additional certifications required by the PWS upon hire
• Must be able to obtain and maintain SECRET security clearance
• Must be able to obtain HAZMAT awareness certification within 14 days of receiving CAC
• Must be able to obtain Telecommunications I, Telecommunications II, and Emergency Medical Dispatcher (EMD) within 90 days of hire

Basic Requirements

• Must have an active SECRET clearance
• Must have Haz-Mat Awareness certification
• Must have Telecommunications I, Telecommunications II, and Emergency Medical Dispatcher (EMD)
• Must be at least 18 years of age or older
• Must be a US or Permanent Citizen due to contract requirements
