About the Role

We are seeking an Operator 3, Bakery – Relief to join our team at our Swedesboro, NJ bakery. As an Operator 3, Bakery – Relief, you will be accountable for ensuring critical production line positions are properly supported and covered across bakery operations. This role plays a vital part in maintaining product quality, operational efficiency, food safety compliance, and continuous production flow.

Shift & Schedule

  • Shift: 3rd Shift
  • Hours: 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM
  • Weekend Availability: As needed based on business requirements

Compensation

Hourly Rate: $25.00 - $26.00

The final determination of a successful candidate's starting pay will vary based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to location, shift, education, skill, and experience within the job or the industry. The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed in this specific job description. Additional pay may be determined for those candidates that exceed these specified qualifications and requirements.

Core Accountabilities (What You'll Be Doing)

  • Ensure production line coverage across key bakery operations to maintain uninterrupted production.
  • Operate and support multiple production processes while ensuring product quality and consistency.
  • Follow standard operating procedures, equipment guidelines, and established work practices.
  • Collaborate with Operators, Leads, and team members to optimize line performance and efficiency.
  • Identify operational issues and support waste reduction and productivity improvement efforts.
  • Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain compliance with GMP, food safety, quality, and workplace safety standards.

Minimum Qualifications (What You Bring to the Table)

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum six (6) months of experience as an Ingredient Operator or in a related production role.
  • Basic knowledge of dough mixing processes and production equipment operation.
  • Ability to read and interpret scale measurements and temperature readings.
  • Basic mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Ability to accurately document production, process, and ingredient information.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds independently and up to 100 pounds with assistance.

Preferred Qualifications (Extra Ingredients for Success)

  • Experience in a fast-paced food manufacturing or production environment.
  • Familiarity with continuous improvement tools and methodologies, including Centerline and CIL.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Experience using computer systems and production interfaces.
