Operator 2, Bakery- Mixing (L7) - 1st shift

About the role

We are seeking an Operator 2 – Bakery Mixing to join our team at our Swedesboro, NJ bakery. As an Operator 2 in Mixing, you will be accountable for preparing and mixing ingredients according to formulas, monitoring dough quality, and ensuring consistent production flow.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and mix ingredients according to formulas to ensure dough meets temperature, texture, and quality standards
• Operate and monitor mixing equipment, following all SOPs for equipment use, ingredient management, and data entry
• Maintain organized and food-safe prep rooms, coolers, and ingredient storage areas with accurate labeling and inventory practices
• Collaborate effectively with Machine Operators and Leads to support smooth production flow and quality outcomes
• Participate in continuous-improvement initiatives including problem-solving, waste reduction, and root-cause analysis
• Complete accurate documentation and system entries before end of shift and report abnormalities to supervisors
• Follow all GMPs, food-safety rules, and workplace health and safety procedures

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• At least 6 months of experience as a Mixer or in a related production role
• Ability to understand and follow recipes, process controls, and temperature readouts in English
• Basic knowledge of dough mixing and mixing equipment
• Able to accurately read scales, temperature displays, and complete written documentation
• Able to work with computers and operating screens for production data entry
• Clear written and verbal communication skills in English

Qualifications

• Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred)
• Previous bakery or food-manufacturing experience (preferred)
• Experience working with automated mixing or batching systems (preferred)
• Strong communication skills, including participation in meetings and team discussions (preferred)
• Familiarity with continuous-improvement tools or processes (preferred)
