Operator 2, Bakery- Ingredient (L7) - 1st Shift

About the Role

Aspire Bakeries is seeking an Operator, Bakery – Ingredient Prep to join our team at our Swedesboro, NJ bakery. In this role, you will be accountable for accurately measuring, preparing, and labeling ingredients to support efficient, high-quality mixing operations while maintaining full traceability and food safety standards.

Schedule

• Shift: 1st Shift
• Hours: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
• Weekend Availability: Required

Pay

Hourly Rate: $21

Responsibilities

• Prepare and measure ingredients with accuracy to support consistent, high-quality batch production
• Maintain ingredient traceability in accordance with PCE guidelines and documentation standards
• Manage ingredient inventory, ensuring proper labeling, rotation, and storage—including refrigerated items
• Keep prep, wash, cooler, and storage areas clean, organized, and compliant with GMP and food safety standards
• Collaborate closely with the Lead Mixer, Machine Operator, and production team to support efficient operations
• Monitor and maintain proper functioning of scaling tools such as weight scales, scanners, and related equipment
• Complete required documentation accurately and on time to support compliance and batch integrity

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum 6 months of general labor experience in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to accurately document ingredients and mixing data
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
• Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly in English
• Ability to work with computers and operating screens
• Ability to lift and handle ingredients up to 50 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in food manufacturing
• Familiarity with GMPs, SOPs, and food safety practices
• Problem-solving and reasoning skills
• Experience supporting continuous improvement activities
