About the role
Start your manufacturing career with Watlow as an Operator at our St. Louis Manufacturing Center of Excellence. This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in quality, and wants to learn new skills. You’ll operate equipment, assemble and inspect products, and keep production running safely and efficiently. This role offers a balance of independent work and team collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Operate equipment/tools/machinery to prepare and assemble product.
- Assure product meets all quality standards.
- Test and inspect products per procedure.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Meet production metrics (takt time).
- Check and fill out necessary reports, manufacturing orders, scrap, rejects, and production times.
Requirements
- Basic math skills.
- Ability to read and comprehend measurements.
- Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods.
- Ability to work individually and in teams.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Ability to lift a maximum of 30 pounds.
Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED certificate or equivalent (desired).
- Up to three years of related work experience (preferred).
- Demonstrated knowledge with basic computer systems (desired).
- Willingness to work overtime when needed.
- Willingness to be a cross-functional team member.
- Desire to learn new skills and follow directions.
- Hand dexterity (desired).
Pay
Starting pay: $19.73 per hour, plus a $1.50 differential for 2nd shift.
Schedule
3:30 PM–midnight (may initially train on day shift before transitioning to second shift).
