Operator 1 Logistics

About the Role

This position requires the ability to communicate and work effectively in a team environment, follow written and verbal instructions, safely and accurately complete assigned duties, and maintain GMP standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate a forklift safely
• Load and unload trucks
• Receive raw materials and products
• Pick, pack, wrap, label, and ship products using forklift and pallet jack
• Maintain receiving and shipping logs
• Ensure incoming and outgoing products and materials are in good condition
• Move raw and packaging materials to the production area using the FIFO standard
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety of the warehouse
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Must pass company-administered forklift and driver tests
• High school diploma or equivalent (required)
• Post-secondary education in material handling, warehouse, distribution, or packaging (preferred)
• Previous work experience in a manufacturing warehouse or distribution environment (preferred)

Working Conditions

Manufacturing environment with the following physical requirements:

• Ability to sit, stand, walk, kneel, squat, bend, reach, push, pull, twist, crawl, and climb stairs/ladders
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to perform tasks requiring reading, writing, seeing, hearing, communicating, basic arithmetic, and understanding instructions

• Forklifts
• Electric and manual floor jacks
• Dollies
• Computer
• Pencil, markers, cardboard
• Safety equipment: bump hat, ear plugs, safety glasses, hair net

This is a PM (afternoon/evening) position.
