Position Overview
The Operations Training Coordinator serves as a key resource for training programs supporting manufacturing, quality, maintenance, safety, and supply chain teams. Working closely with operations leaders and subject matter experts, this role ensures employees receive the appropriate training while maintaining compliance with regulatory and company requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and administer on-the-job training (OJT) programs for operations personnel.
- Partner with supervisors and subject matter experts to ensure training documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant.
- Aid in developing, updating, and maintaining training plans, training modules, and work instructions.
- Coordinate training schedules for new hires and existing employees.
- Evaluate training effectiveness and recommend improvements to enhance employee performance.
- Maintain monitoring of required training and communicate completion requirements to managers and employees.
- Deliver hands-on operational training as needed while adhering to all safety and regulatory requirements.
- Aid in updating standard operating procedures (SOPs) and training documentation.
- Support Train-the-Trainer initiatives and ongoing trainer qualification programs.
- Assist with troubleshooting training-related issues and collaborating with leadership to identify additional development opportunities.
- Assist with new employee orientation, annual compliance training, and other learning initiatives.
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts, operational walkthroughs, and cross-functional training projects.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience within a regulated manufacturing environment such as pharmaceutical, dietary supplement, food manufacturing, medical device, or other GMP-regulated industries.
- Working knowledge of Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and regulated production environments.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience facilitating classroom or hands-on training preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience working with a Learning Management System (LMS) is preferred.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across manufacturing, quality, maintenance, supply chain, and other operational teams.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Training & Development, Communications, Organizational Development, or a related field preferred.
- Equivalent combinations of education and relevant experience will also be considered.
