Essential Duties
- Follows scheduled routine for Operation rounds and mechanical checks.
- Maintains familiarity with all aspects of Operations including electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
- Visually monitors water quality in habitats and aquarium systems.
- Assists with maintenance animal life support systems (LSS).
- Demonstrates an excellent working knowledge of the safe and proper use of hand tools, power tools and test equipment used in daily activities.
- Maintains a clean, safe working environment including office space.
- Assists in the fabrication and repair of exhibits.
- Assists with the maintenance, repair, and overhaul of major plant equipment.
- Maintains a valid driver’s license.
- Fosters good relations with visitors, volunteers, community leaders, contractors, and fellow staff members by promoting positive attitudes, goodwill, cooperation, and providing high standards of service.
- Complies with all Alaska SeaLife Center policies, procedures, and programs.
Other Duties
- May be asked to assist with operation of pickup based snow plow.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Salary Range
- $20.35-$25.03(1)
- $23.65-$29.15(2)
- $27.23-$34.64(3)
