Operations Team Chief
About the role
The Operations Team Chief leads a team in planning, preparing, and executing Warfighter Exercises (WFXs) and Risk Reduction Events, ensuring the delivery of solutions for the Army's warfighter program. The role requires expertise in analytical, strategic, tactical, technical, DOTMLPF, and MDMP areas.
Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, preparation, and execution of Warfighter Exercises (WFXs) and Risk Reduction Events
- Identify, analyze, and evaluate complex systems, policies, processes, or instrumentation related to WFXs, Risk Reduction Events, and steady state operations
- Oversee constructive training work and solutions for the Army's warfighter program
- Provide strategic guidance and advice to military and senior mentors
- Ensure compliance with current Army and Joint regulations and publications
Requirements
- Field grade officer experience, including Warrant Officer W-4/5 or Sergeant Major E9
- Key developmental position experience at brigade or battalion level such as Executive Officer, S-3, or Operations Sergeant Major
- Experience with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
- Top Secret clearance
- Bachelor's degree
- Completion of Military Education Level (MEL4) CGSC, Warrant Officer Senior Service Education (WOSSE), or Sergeants Major Course (SMC)
Qualifications
- Experience as a Colonel O-6 or above
- Experience serving on Division or Corps level staff positions
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Master's degree in relevant field
- PMP Certification
- Graduate of War College (MEL1) or equivalent

Pay
The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD).
Schedule
Employees working virtually are generally expected to have their cameras on during meetings. The work model includes options for remote, hybrid, and onsite work arrangements.
