Operations & Supply Chain Management Lecturer Pool

San José State University’s Department of Operations and Supply Chain Management prepares students to become skilled professionals and innovative leaders in operations and supply chain management. The department offers a concentration in Operations and Supply Chain Management, equipping students with current knowledge, practical experience, and essential analytical, technical, and leadership skills to manage operations, logistics, sourcing, quality, and supply chain activities in complex global business environments.

About the Role

We are seeking part-time faculty lecturers to teach undergraduate or graduate courses on the main campus in San José, California, or online. Lecturers must excel in teaching and engaging with students, delivering courses as scheduled throughout the semester in the assigned mode (asynchronous, synchronous, bichronous, in-person, or hybrid).

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned courses during scheduled class times.
• Hold weekly office hours for student support.
• Create and evaluate student exams and assignments.
• Participate in faculty meetings and contribute to curriculum decisions.
• Organize classes within the Canvas Learning Management System (LMS), the official platform for all SJSU courses.
• Demonstrate awareness of and address the needs of a diverse student population through inclusive course materials, teaching strategies, and advisement.

Requirements

• Master’s or higher degree relevant to the courses to be taught.
• At least three years of professional experience.
• Knowledge and experience in teaching.
• Awareness of and sensitivity to the educational goals of a multicultural population, gained through cross-cultural study, training, teaching, or comparable experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• College teaching experience.
• Relevant industry experience and professional connections in the Silicon Valley region.

Pay

Compensation is determined by qualifications and experience, with monthly salary ranges for part-time faculty as follows (prorated from full-time rates):

• L-A / Range 2: $5,507 – $5,959
• L-B / Range 3: $6,221 – $7,481
• L-C / Range 4: $6,825 – $9,431
• L-D / Range 5: $8,593 – $10,347
