Operations Supervisor - Own and drive results
What you will do:
Spend 70% of your time on the production floor, providing direct support and leadership to your team, anticipating and addressing issues before they become obstacles.
Collaborate and Communicate: Coordinate with team members, other shift managers and company leadership to ensure alignment on goals and smooth operations and share updates.
Drive Accountability: Champion safety, efficiency, quality, and adherence to processes. Lead by example and hold your team to high standards.
Deliver Results: Identify opportunities for improvement and drive projects that enhance productivity, reduce waste, and maximize team performance. Meet production goals and ensure customer quality expectations are exceeded.
Prioritize & Adapt: Balance urgent production needs with planning activities like inventory exception review and resolution, timekeeping, and team member and department effectiveness reviews.
Coach & Develop: Actively support operators and team members, providing coaching, training and clear direction. Train, mentor, and communicate with team members, empowering them to succeed and grow.
Plan & Execute: Utilize production and logistics data to anticipate needs, prioritize work, and manage staffing.
Improve & Innovate: Lead projects, identify improvements and drive efficiency and accountability across your shift
Requirements:
- A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset-anticipate needs and address challenges head-on.
- Strong prioritization and organizational skills-manage multiple tasks and requests in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Experience balancing floor presence with planning and administrative responsibilities (inventory, timekeeping, effectiveness review, etc.).
- Ability to train, coach and develop a team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Excellent communication skills-clear, direct, and supportive, both written and verbal.
- Reliability, adaptability, and commitment to being present for your team every day.
- Detail orientation and follow-through-ensure nothing slips through the cracks.
- Mechanical and numerical reasoning skills for rapid problem solving.
What We Need From You:
A high school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree; Associate's or Bachelor's degree.Minimum of 5 years' manufacturing leadership experience required.
ISO knowledge and experience helpful.Strong Microsoft Office and ERP/MRP software skills.
