About the role
As the first-line supervisor for bus operators, customers, driver field evaluation, and accident first responders, the Operations Supervisor/Dispatcher plays a crucial role in a safety-sensitive environment. This position requires respectful and professional communication with other Dispatchers, Bus Operators, and Supervisors. The Operations Supervisor/Dispatcher performs the duties of a Dispatcher and Road Supervisor, overseeing scheduling, administrative tasks, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Communicate job requirements and responsibilities to bus operators and dispatchers.
- Prepare and manage day-to-day evaluation reports.
- Assist bus operators in preparing accident reports and safety violations documents.
- Correct safety problems on the route/scene while documenting violations.
- Serve as a liaison between bus operators, clients, and organizations for customer service issues.
- Evaluate and monitor bus operator safety and performance.
- Assist safety personnel with Department of Transportation (DOT) and Federal Transit Administration (FTA) compliance and recordkeeping.
- Assist in dispatching and miscellaneous clerical tasks as needed.
- Obtain and maintain a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required to operate vehicles at the location, drive routes periodically, and assist with the bus operator tracking system for performance and evaluations.
Requirements
- At least 21 years old.
- A valid driver’s license in good standing.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule which may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required (must obtain and maintain).

Pay
Hourly rate of pay: $22.25.
