About the role
The Dispatch Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring that every move is coordinated seamlessly from start to finish. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate daily moving jobs
- Schedule moving crews and trucks
- Maintain driver/helper relationships
- Ensure adequate capacity for daily jobs
- Answer incoming calls and make follow-up calls
- Contact customers regarding schedules, ETAs, payments, and service updates
- Maintain accurate CRM notes and shipment documentation
- Monitor drivers and ensure DOT compliance
- Track driver locations and daily activities
- Communicate with customers, sales, and operations to ensure smooth service
- Absorb and resolve customer service issues
Requirements
- Detail-oriented
- Strong documentation and data entry skills
- Strong phone and customer service skills
- Comfortable making and receiving customer calls
- Excellent listening and verbal communication skills
- Self-starter with the ability to take initiative
- Dependable, energetic, and able to multitask
- Able to work well under pressure
- Proficient with CRM software and Microsoft Office
- 1–3 years of dispatch, logistics, or operations experience preferred
- Previous experience working for a moving company preferred
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
