Operations Sr. Manager
About the role
This position provides an opportunity to transition from other private, public, government or military experience to a 3M career.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with plant personnel to set short- and long-term strategic plans as well as operating plans for departments.
- Work with Manufacturing Engineering Managers and Product Divisions to drive Customer First initiatives in service, quality, and cost improvements.
- Develop, establish, and maintain annual operating budgets.
- Direct and facilitate Lean, Six Sigma and Continuous Improvement teams both within and outside of the operations organization to improve customer satisfaction and reduce total costs.
- Clearly communicate to all employees within the focus factory the priorities, expectations, and results of the facility.
- Provide direction and supervision of direct reports using principal-based leadership strategies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
- Eight (8) combined years of manufacturing, engineering, quality, and/or environmental health and safety experience in a private, public, government or military environment
- Five (5) years of direct supervision experience
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
- Experience leading and implementing Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodology for sustained continuous improvement
- Experience leading high performing cross functional teams
- Experience working with multiple Divisions, balancing multiple priorities
- Experience communicating at all levels on cultural change initiatives

Pay & Benefits
The expected compensation range for this position is $221,591 - $270,834, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience.
