Position Summary

The Operations Specialist II, also referred to as the Virginia Newspaper Liaison, is a hybrid position in the VA Foreclosure Department and is responsible for the review and management of all functions associated with our newspaper vendors. The Specialist will correspond with clients and vendors related to publication functions, and maintain up to date information in the firm’s case management system and client systems. Other tasks will be assigned based on the team’s needs.

Essential Duties / Primary Responsibilities

  • Review advertisement proofs scheduled to run in local newspapers
  • Verify all variable information in the publication and verify all publication dates
  • Correspond with newspapers regarding any needed revisions
  • Ensure that all scheduled publications run timely
  • Update the clients when the publications have run
  • Manage Affidavits of Publication after the publications have run
  • Other tasks will be assigned based on the team’s needs

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Prior experience in foreclosure processing client systems preferred
  • Previous law firm or loan processing experience preferred
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (including Microsoft Excel) preferred
  • Ability to type quickly and accurately, and proficiency with technology is a must
