About the role
The Operations Specialist plays a crucial role in driving operational improvements, scaling processes, collaborating cross-functionally, managing independent escalations, testing and refining digital platforms, and mentoring and supporting peers.
Responsibilities
- Identify inefficiencies and recommend practical solutions to enhance patient workflows and technology adoption.
- Document process updates and share learnings to keep the team aligned as the organization grows.
- Partner with Clinical and Product teams to ensure the successful implementation of new service lines and clinical operations.
- Handle basic escalations independently and provide clear handoffs to senior leadership when necessary.
- Provide critical feedback on internal and external digital platforms to ensure tools are iterative and user-friendly.
- Mentor and support your peers by applying feedback to your own growth and sharing insights.
- Contribute fresh ideas and insights to drive more efficient internal systems and better patient outcomes.
Requirements
- Typically 2+ years of relevant experience (3+ years preferred) in healthcare operations, patient coordination, or digital health.
- Can analyze various factors to determine the best action within established procedures.
- Able to anticipate patient and team needs and take initiative to support them, using empathy to guide tone and timing.
- Takes ownership of professional development, integrating feedback into daily habits and adapting quickly when plans don't go as expected.
- Flexes approach when new challenges arise and supports the team during "messy" or unclear transitions.
- Ensures diverse voices are heard and credits them, actively checking for bias in their own decisions.
- Has a knack for troubleshooting, synthesizing imperfect information into actionable insights, and creatively solving problems with foresight.
