Responsibilities
- Supports the physical layout of assigned properties
- Works within capital expenditures budget to support Branch service levels
- Manages identified safety related projects and programs
- Makes logistics and safety recommendations and provides fleet management across assigned locations
- Supports the Regional, Market, and Branch Managers as point of contact for facilities, equipment, and fleet related requests
- Assists with defining and fulfilling business plans and objectives and participating with the development of annual operating and capital expenditure budgets
- Manages equipment needs including partnering with identified cost-effective vendors to provide proper rotation and maintenance of equipment over multi-year periods
- Analyzes, reports on, and proposes strategies to improve process and procedures related to facilities and logistics
- Works in collaboration with other departments, JST, and branch personnel to devise consistent practices that build a cohesive approach to delivering a superior customer experience and achieving financial goals
- Provides fleet management support and administration across all locations, inclusive of all company-provided vehicles and Material Handling Equipment (MHE)
- Responsible for fleet management related auditing, invoice review, budget compliance, and tracking to prevent expense overages and identify efficiencies
- Ensures compliance with Department of Transportation, Hazardous Materials Safety Administration, interstate commerce, and other regulatory requirements and supports companywide efforts as assigned
- Implements, trains, and monitors safety protocols, good housekeeping standards, appropriate sanitation and security of facilities
- Participates in onboarding of new employees companywide and may lead safety related trainings or initiatives
- Works with project team for relocation of warehouses, facility closures, and new branch openings to ensure proper movement and placement of assets, traveling as needed across regions to support logistics, distribution, and facility related initiatives
- Performs research, monitors benchmarks and established KPIs, collects and analyzes data, and prepares reports
Qualifications
- Thorough understanding of logistics, supply chain operations, and strong organizational skills
- Knowledge of warehouse operations i.e., shipping, receiving, flow patterns, freight
- Bachelor’s degree in logistics, business, or related field preferred; 5 years of experience in a similar position; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Valid driver’s license and proof of insurability must be maintained in order to travel to support operations
