Operations Specialist - Campus Engagement (Visit & Event Experience Focus)
About the role
The Operations Specialist – Campus Engagement provides logistical and operational support for daily campus visit programs, group visits, information sessions, and the student ambassador program. This position ensures visitors have an exceptional campus experience.
Responsibilities
- Plan and staff daily campus visit programs, group visits, and information sessions.
- Manages visit logistics including room setups, materials, signage, parking, and wayfinding.
- Provides telephone and front desk coverage as scheduled, answering questions, routing calls, handling parent, counselor, and student inquiries, returning main office voicemail/email, and resolving issues within 24 hours.
- Provides day-of campus event support including registration check-in, visitor greeting, wayfinding assistance, and troubleshooting.
- Aids in the entry of information into Slate to ensure accurate and up-to-date information on applicants, high school counselors, programs, alumni involvement, and related records.
- Supports document imaging operations and CRM-related data entry for visitor records, event registrations, and ambassador program records.
- Supervises, trains, and coordinates student ambassador tour schedules.
- Caters, facilities, and technology needs as part of event planning.
- Maintains visit materials and event inventory.
- Assists counselors in the college fair registration process when needed.
- Supports social media content during campus events.
- Affords accessibility for campus visitors.
- Performs other duties as assigned in support of departmental and institutional objectives.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of three (3) years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- Working proficiency with Student Customer Relationship Management (SCRM) for visitor records and event registration preferred.
- Familiarity with document imaging operations and CRM data quality standards preferred.

Pay
Starting Salary/Rate: Expected hiring range: $18.50 - $22.00. Pay transparency disclosure: The selected candidate’s salary will be determined based on factors that include the available budget, internal equity, and the final candidate’s qualifications, experience, education and other job-related credentials.
Schedule
Business Hours with weekends or evenings occasionally required.
